Possibly, who knows ? I
mean, 'they' tell us that
eating additives is "safe"
and "ok" ... Yet ailments
have developed, never seen
before the introduction of
chemicals into our food

electricity is not good for
us , were biological.Meaning
that I feel humans would be

2009.11.29

This is a short film (a fast paced preview of a larger effort) by MAYA Design created to put some perspective on the invisible but fast approaching challenges and opportunities in the pervasive computing age.

June

2009.06.28

June has probably been the most eventful and exciting month since the launch of TEA last September. The site went through some major changes, our membership card program was launched, more than a hundred new members signed up and we had three fantastic events. Most of you have probably encountered and even got used to the new menu and functions of the site by now. Some groups have generated quite a lot of comments – Jason’s Film Friends group seems to be the most active. The development of the groups and events features is not quite finished. We are still working to improve navigation on ...

Event updates: hike and dinner

2009.04.27

Greg documented our hike in film format so there is no need for me to tell the whole story, but here is a quick summary anyway. Chris and Greg were brave enough to join me and my friends for the Gerecse 50 hike. The idea is that you walk a distance of 50 kms and if you can do it within 12 hours you get a badge as a reward. Well, it took us 13 hours, but we still got the badge for our accomplishment. It was a great experience, I am glad to have had Chris and Greg accompanying me. See photos of the hike here. TEA Time Cafe Mokka

2009.04.12

Cafe Mokka near Blaha proved to be a very friendly environment to have a fun night speaking English and meeting people. We had a great time with some new people and lots of returning TEA Timers. Taking advantage of the group of people at hand, a poll was conducted on TEA. The first question asked people to rank different aspects or benefits of TEA. Surprisingly, socialising came absolute first and improving English along with having fun proved to be the second or third most important aspect. This only confirms our feelings and intentions to make speaking English the means and meeting people, ...

TEA Time Mumus

2009.03.28

More than 30 TEA Timers were brave enough to meet the Mumus face-to-face last Thursday. The odd but inviting ambience of the place was the perfect environment to speak English, meet people and have fun. In addition to our returning members, some new people from Poland, Germany, Italy and Hungary turned up as well. So many, in fact, that we had to move out of the room we had reserved to a larger one. As the pictures will tell, we had a lot of fun that night and will surely visit Mumus again. If you were there with us on Thursday night you can post your comments about the event here. And ...

An account of recent events

2009.03.13

I have not been able to post an account for each of our events in the recent past, so I will try to summarize what has been happening around TEA here. The event following the Reggae on the boat party was a very nice cooperation between CS and TEA members. The Budapest CS group has an agenda to translate their website into Hungarian so that even more people can participate. Some of our Hungarian members were kind enough to come along and utilise their English skills in translating the website. At the same time some non Hungarian members turned up as well, who could not really contribute to ...
